Photo verification
You can verify your profile photo in-app using a live face-detection check, so members can see who is verified before they engage.
Report and Block, one tap
Report anyone from their profile or your chat. Blocking removes them immediately and permanently — they cannot message you or find you again.
External links are blocked
Links cannot be sent in chats or pasted into bios. This is deliberate: it removes the most common route for scams and off-platform harassment.
Fakes are harder to run
Popin checks app and device integrity to reduce the fake-account volume that plagues dating apps. Suspicious installs are flagged before they reach other members.
18+ only
Popin is for adults aged 18 and over. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up and act on accounts that misrepresent their age.
Moderation
What happens when you report someone
Reporting is not a suggestion box. Here is the actual process.
You report
Tap Report on a profile or in a chat thread and choose the reason. Block them at the same time if you want them gone immediately.
We review
Reports go to a human moderation queue, alongside the automated screening result and the account's history. Accounts with repeat reports are prioritised.
We act
Depending on what we find, the account is warned, its photos or messages are restricted, or it is banned for a period or permanently. We aim to action reports within 24 hours.

Respect boundaries
Everyone has a different comfort level. A no is a no — do not push, and do not keep messaging after being blocked.

Keep it personal
Popin is for meeting people. It is not a place to advertise a business, drive traffic somewhere else, or recruit.

Protect your details
Do not post phone numbers, financial details, addresses or other members' private information anywhere on your profile.

No harassment
Hate speech, threats, sexual harassment, non-consensual content and violence get you removed without warning.
Meeting someone in person? Pick a public place, tell a friend where you
are going and when you expect to be back, and keep your own transport home. A
connection feeling right online does not guarantee anything in person. Trust your
own judgement and leave whenever you want to.
Your data
Delete your account yourself
You should never have to email a company to make them forget you. On Popin, account deletion is a first-class feature, not a support ticket.
